My journey to find a job in the UK was like a wild rollercoaster ride — full of surprises and challenges.

But, I was determined to make it work.

I didn't expect that this decision would lead me on a tough adventure, trying to survive and discover more about myself.

I only had £500 in my account for my October rent.

I had to find a part-time job immediately without relying on my parents for money.

So, my goal was clear – get a part-time job related to my writing and editing skills, not just to pay bills, but to make a place for myself in a new country.

After many rejected job applications, I finally got relief when I landed a part-time position related to content. Phew! First success!

But the real challenge came in only later — UK’s competitive job market.

Initially, I thought doing well in my studies would automatically get me a job in the UK.

Only later I realised it was a joke. I was completely wrong!

I began my full-time job hunt in my second semester.

This became the routine — applying to many jobs on LinkedIn, Indeed, and other job portals, waking up to rejection emails, and ignored applications and messages.

It was tough, and I felt unsure and scared, but I didn't give up.

Things slightly took a turn when I improved my LinkedIn profile, posted content regularly, and connected with people in my field.

A few weeks later, I received an email mentioning that I made it to the next round for a job I had applied to. This was the opportunity I had been waiting for!

I considered it to be my only chance (literally), and if I didn't succeed, I didn't know when I would get another.

The tables didn’t turn in one night. It took months of finding the right direction, being persistent, and determined.

The journey wasn't easy.

It had doubts and tough moments, but each time things didn't work out, I learnt to give it another try.

Getting the job offer is still a big win for me, not just in my career but personally too.

What did I learn? When you mix passion with not giving up, you can get through tough times.

Things may change, but it's crucial to believe in yourself, work hard, and do your best.

And remember, this is just the beginning!
