UK was my third option to do my Masters. I never thought I'd end up here, but when my first 2 choices didn't work out, UK became my destination.
I knew that real challenge was landing a job after. Seven months into my Masters, I started my job search.
Juggling wasn't easy. Coursework on weekdays, job search in the evenings, and part-time work on weekends. But I kept going.
I applied to over 100 jobs, faced 95 rejections, got 4 interviews, 2 final rounds, and finally 1 offer.
The Value Proposition Document by Unimad played an important role in my job search.
It made me feel more accountable about the advertised job role and genuinely made me think how I would add value to the company.
It resonated with my belief in going the extra mile.
If there's one thing I could change about this entire journey, it would be focusing more on upskilling and staying active on LinkedIn from the start.
My journey was a long, challenging one, but worth it.
To those still on this journey, here's my two cents:
Keep going! Never give up! There's always light at the end!
P.S. The other thing I learned – some job ads are fake. Stay patient, stay persistent.
